Orders Shipping within the US: Shipping is via United States Postal Service, not UPS. Please ensure that the address you use is a postal service deliverable address. Your order will be delayed if our address verification system indicates your address is invalid.

Orders ship by either 1st Class or Priority Mail, depending on the weight of your order. When your order ships you will receive an email letting you know it's on its way along with a tracking number. Typical transit times are 2-3 days coast to coast, with most orders shipping within 24 hours of the time of purchase. Please note that Thru-Hiker is closed over the weekend, so orders placed after 1p.m. Eastern Standard Time on Friday will not ship prior to Monday.

Orders Shipping Outside the United States: Our cart will add a large shipping fee to your order, but we will will refund any excess charge over the exact cost of shipping plus $5USD for handling.

For example, if postage costs $12USD to ship your order and you were charged $40 USD by our cart, your refund would be (you paid for shipping $40) - (the actual cost of shipping $12 + $5 handling)= $23 refunded to you on shipment.

The actual cost of international shipping varies too widely for our cart to calculate accurately. This way everyone is charged based on the actual cost of shipping to their prospective country.

Shipping times range from 5 days to 21 days to points across the world. USPS Priority International mail is used for most packages with transit times from 7 to 10 business days and a tracking number to let you know where it is during transit. 1st Class International is used for small orders that can ship flat in an envelope with weights less than 1 lbs. This class of mail is less expensive, somewhat slower, and does not include tracking. If you have a small order but would prefer to spend more on shipping via USPS Priority for the ability to track your order, please let us know because otherwise we assume that keeping shipping costs to a minimum is what our customers would prefer.

While we sympathize with the high level of taxation faced by our international friends, importation tax policy is an issue for you to take up with your local government. We fill out all customs forms accurately; please do not request for us to falsify customs documents.

Return Policy: Thru-Hiker wants you to be satisfied with your order and will accept returns for uncut/unmodified/clean items within 14 days of the delivery date. You must contact us prior to returning your item to receive an Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. We will refuse delivery of any item returned without an RMA number. Shipping charges are non-refundable.
